BIG BEN! |
So I have barely had enough time to write on the blog. My friends have been keeping me absolutely busy. During the day have been taking tours or just walking around at random. My first couple of days here were a bit hard. Making friends was difficult at first and I went through culture shock! Imagine that, in Poland I was nearly 100% fine with the exceptio of communication skills. London is freakily different from Canada in many aspects. Mostly it was the opposite driving on the road and the accents!! Gah! But now everything is fine. I have made quite a few friends but I find it hilarious that none of them are British.
I have seen many impressive landmarks. the London Bridge was absolutely outstanding, I am amazed that such things existed so long ago! Big Ben and the English parliment were fantastic and I still cannot believe I was there. I look at photos and my mind tries to tell me that it is photoshop or just mind games. It was exactly the same feeling when I stood at time square in New York and recognized everything from movies or famous pictures. Other things I saw include the London Eye, Buckingham Palace (as well as the other royal residence) and statues and monuments built in the earliest centuries by the old Monarchs. Let's also not forget the Abby!!! The history here is great and the guides were so helpful and informative. I also now know why they drive on the wrong side of the road, and why we on the right side!!! I will let you know when I get back!

The Gang |
Now the reason i have not been able to send too many updates on my blog because my friends here are pretty active in the nightlife scene. We have been to a few clubs but the hostel here has one built in. It is crazy partying here especially when the irish came to visit. They have all kinds of compititions that I cannot even begin to talk about on here! Everything is just crazy! My Hostel is rather expensive (23 pounds a night) but the staff is absolutely awesome. They serve great food, have a club and bar, and a location that is easy to get to and from places. The roomates I have gotten are always friendly and kind. No need for lock boxes! However I cannot find my passport..... Jokes! My only critisism is that it is so expensive here. Other then that I have had an amazing time!
Tomorrow I am heading to Warsaw again and then I am off to the Czech republic, Prague. I am really looking forward to it! Then soon I will see Ruben again and we will have a blast!
Europe is amazing! I promise I will pull my act together and post more blog posts.
